I use about four systems to manage a single patient’s care. It really affects my workflow when I have to: – read through many reports – follow up on why people are on certain medications – look for records and medications on different systems – find out which specialist they should go to on another system – do cumbersome log-ins with BC service cards each time It adds probably 50% of a visit time if I have to do that at a visit. Often I’ll see what I can do to skip it because it’s so difficult. That time would otherwise go towards seeing more patients.
